17 Weeks

Before I get the pregnancy info, let's talk about something(s)...
1. Umm.. this is quite a few days late
2. I told you this would not be a pregnancy only blog, yet it seems the only thing I motivate myself to blog about is my weekly updates. I mean, I couldn't even find the time to blog about our two year wedding
anniversary.
3. Hubs and I had a fabulous anniversary. It was very low low key and pretty uneventful, but we spent plenty of time together the weekend before and that Monday night. I can't believe it has been two years. What I really can't believe is how much I love him more and more every day. Aww.. wasn't that special?

How far along: 17 Weeks
Total weight gain: As of the doctor yesterday...9lbs. Yikes?!
Maternity clothes:Today I wore "normal" pants, but that doesn't mean I didn't use a rubber band to hold them up
Sleep: Much much better
Movement:  I'm really just not sure. The ultrasound yesterday showed a VERY active baby, so I'm thinking I should be feeling it or feeling it a lot more soon.
Food cravings: Jimmy Johns! #6, no mayo, add oil and vinegar, salt n vinegar chips with a Dr. Pepper. Seriously the best thing EVER. Then, there was that night I HAD to have a donut.
Gender: 23 weeks left....Heart beat was 154 yesterday and doc said "chick". I'm not sure what I think it is. I did come up with a new girl name that I'm in love with. Hubs is not thrilled (at all) with it.
Weekly Wisdom:No shame in eating
Stretchmarks?: Still keeping my eyes peeled for any
What I'm looking forward to:One of my best friends,Brenna, is getting married this weekend and I can't wait to be a part of her big day.
What I miss: Not having to wear a bra. I never thought this would happen. At first it was fun (YAY! I have boobs), but now I just get annoyed.
Milestones: The baby no longer fits on one screen during the ultrasound

Oh, and let me just tell you the bloody noses are OC! I'm talking all of a sudden gushing blood. Sick, right? My wonderful sister, who knows I'm a spaz, proceeded to tell me "well, you know that is also a sign of leukemia, right?" Who says that to a pregnant lady never mind a hypochondriac?! UGH!

This may or may not help the bloody noses but you may want to try putting some vaseline on a q tip and rubbing it in your nose.

Liz,

First off, Congrats! Jim and I are so happy for you! Embrace the weight gain! It's the only time in life where it is okay, actually encouraged! Also, I had really bad bloody noses too! You just get used to them! Hope you don't ruin many bedsheets like I did! Hope the pregnancy treats you well and we can't wait to hear the great news when he or she is born! Oh by the way, good for you for not finding out! It will make the his/her arrival that much better!

Melissa
