18 Weeks

How far along:
18 Weeks. I can't believe I am almost half way there

Total weight gain:
I would assume somewhere around 10lbs.

Maternity clothes:
Still half and half. I put on my first maternity shirt this morning and Hubs said that I looked pregnant, but then he said it's because my stomach is big and not because of the shirt. I tried to suck in the other day just to see what happened... ha!
Sleep:
I'm starting to get a little uncomfortable. I'm still able to sleep on my stomach, which really helps my back pain, I'm just not sure how much longer this will last. My doc keeps telling me that I can sleep on my back for the whole pregnancy as long as I am comfortable. Not that I don't trust him, but why do all the other pregnant ladies out there say this isn't good? He also told me I could have lunch meat, two caffeinated drinks a day, and sushi as long as it had cooked fish.  Just laid back kind of doc. Good for me, I suppose.

Movement:
Definitely feeling him/her. I never really felt "flutters" because the movements seemed stronger than that, or I just didn't pay attention. Either way, I can't wait until it's more often and stronger.

Food cravings:
STILL Jimmy Johns! #6, no mayo, add oil and vinegar, salt n vinegar chips with a Dr. Pepper. I had one for lunch and I would eat another one right now if it was in front of me... SOOO GOOD!

Gender:
22 weeks left... today, I think it's a girl.

What I'm looking forward to:
The big ultrasound in two weeks! Not that we are finding out the gender, but we should be getting the most up to date due date and to make sure everything looks good. Oh, and starting the nursery. I think we I finally decided on colors, so that is huge accomplishment.

What I miss:
I'm not really having any 'I miss' moments this week. Of course, at my friend's wedding I missed the beer and champagne ...I guess this means I'm starting to adjust to my new lifestyle of no wardrobe and no alcohol.

Milestones:
Feeling the baby move

I think it's about time my husband takes these pics

Cruising right along! I slept on my belly until about 26 weeks. Then the bump just naturally rolled me over! My doc explained that sleeping on your back, especially later in pregnancy, isn't good because the weight of the uterus is on the descending aortic atery and thus cuts off circulation to your lower extremities. I still slept on my back though! Which hospital will you be delivering? I delivered at St. John's and the care was excellent and the room service for food was delicious!
